Goodwin-Hertoghe weights and quotes
The weigh in for Sunday's International Masters Welterweight title clash, between Chester's Chris Goodwin and Oost-Vlaanderen, Belgium's Wesley Hertoghe, at the York Hall in Bethnal Green, took place today (Saturday) at the TRAD TKO Boxing Gym in Canning Town.
Chris Goodwin - 63.9kg. "Everything has gone well, training wise, fingers crossed that everything should go well in the fight."
Wesley Hertoghe - 62kg. "I don't know who he is, I'm not worried at all, it's going to be ten round war."
Following the weigh in promoter Miranda Carter spoke briefly, "I'm really delighted to be putting this fight on. There seems to be a bit of aggro between them here at the weigh-in so yeah I'm looking forward to quite a sparky little fight on this one."

Goodwin aims to be the Master for a second time
Chester's Chris Goodwin (13-1-1) faces Belgian Wesley Hertoghe (3-9-1) for the International Masters welterweight title on Left Jab Promotions' 'Storming Sunday' November 13 bill at the York Hall, Bethnal Green. Goodwin fights less than a month after winning the lightweight version of the title against Kenya's Geoffrey Munika over ten hard rounds.
Despite Hertoghe's record, Goodwin's manager Mick Carney believes that the Belgian should not be underestimated. "He is very experienced and has fought some decent guys in his own country, including a BeNeLux champion. He has only ever been stopped once and comes with a reputation of being durable and hard working. This should be a good test for Chris as he continues his education."
There are big plans afoot for Goodwin in the New Year, but Carney is sure that Chris will be concentrating on the job in hand. "Let's get this straight; if Chris takes his eye off the ball then what we have planned will be in tatters. But I am confident that with his professional mentality, and with a wise head like his dad Steve in the corner, he will put on a show to remember."
This is Goodwin's first time fighting in London, and according to Carney, fans are in for a treat. "He can do everything. He has skills to burn, but as we saw against Munika, he can fight on the inside and his power is improving. He is turning into the complete package."
